Hallway: Shopping for a Stair Runner

I went to about four different carpet stores in Kitchener yesterday looking for a runner (as you know, Fergus fell down the stairs).

One thing I learned is that wool is way too expensive and NONE of the stores I visited even carried wool runners.  A salesman told me that people in my area don't buy it, since synthetics range from $10-30/linear foot whereas wool is $70-90/linear foot.  jeeze louise.

Anyway, I saw a few options at The Carpet Store.

{ Aladdin Persian Classic: $13.99/linear foot }

{ Veronna runner: $11.70/linear foot }

I suppose my favourite is the "Aladdin" followed by the "Cosmos Tapis" but neither of them make me full-on swoon.  I feel 'meh' about them.  Tomorrow I'll head out to Alexanian's since it seems like they'd have a huge selection... not sure.. never been... but we'll see. :)
